I have also to notice the fact that in a raid
made a few days ago by the Police on premises in which some Chinese in possession of Commissions in the rebel army in Kwangtung were arrested a Japanese likewise in possession of such a Commission was also arrested. These persons will all
be deported.

I also enclose a copy of a statement made to
Mr. King by Tang Iu Kwong, an intelligent and efficient officer, who was until the recent rebellion broke out Chief of Police
for the Kwangtung province.

I have sent copy of this despatch to His Majesty's Minister at Peking and to His Majesty's Consul-General at
Canton.
